Rise and shine, rise and grind!
If you’re like me, the sunrise hasn’t always been your best friend. I’d always described myself as more of a “night owl”, more often than not preferring to go to sleep at 3am rather than wake up before dawn.
Recently, I had the great fortune of meeting with the most sought after wealth coach on the planet. Worth hundreds of millions of dollars himself, he said something to me that I already knew, even if I hadn’t always practiced it. He said, and I quote, “I know a lot of billionaires. I’m friends with a lot of billionaires. I don’t know any billionaires who wake up past 6am.”
I’ve been working on being an early riser for a while, for the sole reason that it’s a common trait I’ve found in the habits of some of the most influential and successful CEOs and entrepreneurs. Whether it’s exercising, meditating, eating a healthy breakfast, or all three, “morning people” are statistically proven to be more proactive and more productive, so while it’s still a work in progress for me, after my conversation with an honest to God financial genius, I’m more committed than ever to adopt all the habits of some of the world’s most successful people, starting with this.
My 30 Day ‘Wake Up’ Challenge starts now! I’ll be keeping myself accountable by uploading videos to my Snapchat + Instagram stories every morning before 6am showing what I’m doing in that moment to take advantage of that morning’s early rise! (Weekends included!) I’m hopeful that this 30 days will be the start of a whole new way of life for me.
